Angie Dickinson

Angie Dickinson, for the most part, played roles where she was considered "decorative".   Dickinson's most recognizable television role was in the action-drama Police Woman (1974-1978), in which she played Pepper, a tough-as-nails, yet sensuous police woman. Dickinson's off-screen romances have included two marriages (to college football star Gene Dickinson and composer Burt Bacharach), in addition to entanglements with Frank Sinatra, Johnny Carson, and Larry King. Rumor has it that John F. Kennedy, her highest-profile lover, gave Dickinson an autographed photo of himself bearing the inscription, "Angie: To the only woman I've ever loved."
