Confucius

Confucius was a great scholar who lived in the year 551 BC to 479 BC.He was born into a moderately well-off family.It is rumored that Confucius's mother had waited for many years to have a child.Every night,she prayed to the gods for a child.One night,as she was walking in the garden,she heard a soft voice saying,"I will bless you with a son.His name will be Confucius,and he will be one of the greatest men of the time."Soon after,she gave birth to Confucius.Legend has it that at the time of his birth,there were two dragons floating outside the window.  From The Chinese Odyssey
