Graces

Minor goddesses who usually attended upon, or were associated with, Aphrodite (Venus).  Their parentage was not agreed; Zeus and Eurynome, a daughter of Oceanus and Tethys, were most frequently given as their father and mother.  Varying in number, though generally represented as three, they usually seemed little more than abstract personifications of beauty, gentleness, and friendship.   From Who's Who in Classical Mythology
