Marilyn Monroe

Marilyn Monroe was born Norma Jeane Mortenson to Gladys Baker on June 1, 1926. Shortly after she was born, her mother suffered a mental breakdown & had to be institutionalized. Marilyn never knew her father, and was raised in and out of Foster homes most of her life. She married her first husband, Jim Dougherty when she was just 16.  They later divorced so she could pursue her dream of stardom. 

She later married baseball great Joe DiMaggio, but divorced after 9 months because of "career differences". Her third, and final marriage, was to playwright Arthur Miller. After four years & several miscarriages, they too divorced. It's likely, the only man who truly loved her was Joe. He still will not speak of her to this day.

Marilyn Monroe was one of the most beautiful women of her time. Sadly, her time was cut short. She died on a late August night, in 1962. She was 36 years old. There are many theories about the death of Marilyn Monroe. Murder? Suicide? Accident? The official death certificate lists her death as a "probable suicide", but considering her alleged involvement with President Kennedy & then later, with his brother Bobby, one theory suggests she was killed either to cover up her affair with the Kennedys, or to blow it wide open.  Marilyn was one of the last true movie stars; her death made her a legend.
