Cold Pressed

Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a top grade, or classification, of olive oil.  It is obtained from the first pressing of the olive.

Because olive oil is obtained from the fruit using only pressure - with no heat or solvents - the process is known as "cold pressing." Most vegetable oils, such as corn and soybean, are processed using heat and solvents.
