Tongue
The tongue may have both serpent and phallic symbolism, or it may simply suggest language, as in "many have fallen by the sword, but not as many by the tongue". Tongues are also indicative of the voice of the gods. In medieval Christianity and Oriental art, large protruding tongues are often the sign of demons or the devil.
